Lulu’s London at the Barber Institute

cropped barberThis evening I read my story Lulu’s London at the Birmingham Book Festival.

The story was inspired by the Barber Institute’s exhibition Cityscapes: Panoramic Views on Coins and Medals, and written during a series of workshops ably led by the Barber’s Writer in residence, Andrew Killeen (author of The Father of Locks and The Khalifah’s Mirror). A handful of the stories written were showcased at this Birmingham Book Festival event at the Barber Institute alongside excerpts from the classics.

You can read a review of the event in the University of Birmingham Blogfest here.

An anthology of stories from all the writers involved will be published in December.
